Tim Atkinson

For the past 10 years, Tim Atkinson has been serving nonprofits in the New York region, as a fundraiser and Executive Director.  His experience includes leading community campaigns at United Way, and serving as a fundraising consultant to several nonprofits.  He was Executive Director of Imago Relationships International, a global training institute for professional psychotherapists, who were interested in deepening their effectiveness when working with couples.  Currently he is working with Legacy Connect, an internet startup, that is launching the next generation of online giving.

Tim’s prior experience includes 18 years in the corporate world, where he started as a Chemical Engineer, and subsequently served in a range of technology and business leadership roles.  Within these roles he often managed the relationships within global product teams, as well as between external partners.

Tim lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife Helen.  He is also an accomplished photographer who has been published in the New York Times, and documented the lives of people with disabilities for “People with Disabilities” magazine.  His work can be seen at www.timatkinson.com
